Obituary for Evelyn Neil Thomas

Evelyn Neil Thomas, 93, widow of Robert Eugene Thomas, died Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at Kingstree Nursing Facility in Kingstree.
Mrs. Thomas was born in Louisville, KY on December 22, 1923, a daughter of the late James Neil and Ethel Knox Neil. She grew up in Fairfax, graduated from Fairfax High School, and attended Coker College. Mrs. Thomas was a member of Andrews First Baptist Church since 1950 and served as Sunday School Secretary for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed. .
Survivors are: two sons, L. Eugene Thomas (Ann) of Silverstreet and R. Neil Thomas of Andrews; a daughter, Frances Thomas Leopard of Andrews; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a brother, John Neil (Margaret) of Landrum.
Funeral Services will be held at twelve noon on Friday, October 13, 2017 at Andrews First Baptist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Paul Sapp. Burial will following in Andrews Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday morning in the church parlor from ten-thirty until eleven-thirty o’clock.
