Georgetown:
Kenneth Eugene Williams, 70, died Tuesday morning, March 31, 2009, at his residence.
Mr. Williams was born in Charleston on January 13, 1939, a son of the late Charles Dickson Cox and Rosa Lee Williams Cox. He grew up in Georgetown and served in the U. S. Army for nine years and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. Williams was a mechanic in California and Riviera, Arizona for a number of years. He returned to Georgetown approximately twenty years ago and was a commercial fisherman for a time. Mr. Williams was a Baptist.
Surviving are: two sons, Kelly Eugene Williams of Sandpoint, Idaho and Charles "Chuck" Albert Williams of Bakersfield, California; two brothers, Foster Cox of Andrews and Roger D. Cox of Georgetown; two sisters, Mavis C. Williams of Georgetown and Nell C. Young of Marianna, Florida; two grandchildren; and his fiancé, Mildred C. Wilson of Georgetown.

Funeral services will be Thursday, April 2, 2009, at two o'clock at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. Stephen Candal and the Rev. Chris Giles. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Wednesday evening, April 1, 2009, from six until eight o'clock.
