Obituary for Lois Inman Schooler

Georgetown:
Lois Inman Schooler, 88, widow of Alfred B. Schooler, died Sunday, April 21, 2019 in Columbia.
Mrs. Schooler was born in Welcome, NC on September 29, 1930, a daughter of John Grady Inman and Lula Ann James Inman. She attended the University of South Carolina, where she met her future husband, Alfred. Mrs. Schooler was an active member of Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church, serving in many ways over the years, teaching Sunday School and being active in the Methodist Women. She especially loved crafting, painting, quilting, and sewing handmade items that she delighted to give to others. She used her time working with the family business, Schooler-Glidden Paint Store, as an outlet for her creativity by helping others decorate their homes. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother (Gamma) and great grandmother who loved the Lord and spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Schooler was predeceased by a sister, Georgia Lee Farmer and a brother, Bill Inman.
Surviving are her three sons, Ed Schooler (Lynn) of Columbia, Ben Schooler (Debra) of Eastover, and Ray Schooler of Lancaster; a daughter, Mary Ann S. Owens, (Kevin) of Pleasant Hill; six grandchildren, Katie Schooler, John Schooler (Cheryl), William Schooler (Lindsay), Matthew Owens, Jeremy Owens, and Carrie Owens; three great-grandchildren, Jay and Daniel Schooler and Rosie Schooler; two sisters, Jean Bouchillon (Jack) and Ruby McCurdy, both of Greenville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
