Georgetown:
Adolph "Wayne" Inman, 75, husband of Katherine Dickson Inman, died Monday, July 11, 2016, at Medical University of S.C. in Charleston.
Wayne "Bubba" was born in Conway on December 18, 1940, a son of the late George W. Inman and Pauline Collins Inman. He grew up on a tobacco farm in the Tilly Swamp community of Horry Co. along the Waccamaw River. He learned to hunt and fish from an early age, developing a great love of the outdoors. Wayne passed this on to his children and grandchildren taking them fishing and camping.
Wayne was a founding member and officer of the Winyah Bassmasters and a past member of the Georgetown Lions Club. Wayne started his electrical business, Wayne Inman Electrical, forty-five years ago and enjoyed his work immensely. He continued working as much as his health allowed. He attended Lakewood Baptist Church.
Wayne will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Wayne was predeceased by; a brother, Kenneth C. Inman, a sister, Verta Lee I. Chestnut; a brother-in-law, Trenton Chestnut; and a grandson, Jon A. Smith.
Surviving are: his wife of fifty-five years; a son, George W. Inman; a daughter Debbie I. Smith; four grandchildren, Heather M. Smith (Tres Long), Joey L. Smith (Ann Kennedy), Joshua A. Inman, and Summer L. Inman; five great-grandchildren, Harli M. Smith, Carli C. Smith, Sarah E. Long, and J. Tyler Long; a brother, Larry L. Inman (Patsy); a sister-in-law, Janet I. Haigh; two brothers-in-law, Plowden Dickson, Jr. (Roslyn) and Charles S. Dickson (Dell); many nieces and nephews; and his special friends of the roundtable.
Funeral services will be eleven o'clock Friday morning, July 15, 2016, at Lakewood Baptist Church. Burial will follow at three-thirty o'clock in Manning Cemetery in Manning. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday at the church from ten until eleven.
