Georgetown: Alberta Blake Anderson, 90, died Saturday, February 2, 2008 at the Lakes at Litchfield in Pawleys Island. Mrs. Anderson was born in Georgetown on December 20, 1917, a daughter of the late William Benjamin Blake and Annie Elizabeth Porter Blake. She grew up in Georgetown Co. and was a graduate of Andrews High School. Mrs. Anderson lived in Georgetown for many years and worked at several dress shops on Front Street including Mildred's Dress Shop. She was a member of Herbert Memorial United Methodist Church. Mrs. Anderson was predeceased by: her husband, Henry Mills Anderson; and a son, Henry Burnett Anderson. Survivors include: a son, David Earl Anderson and his wife Annieka of Canton, Ga.; four grandchildren, David Earl Anderson, Jr. of Marietta, Ga. and Christopher Patrick Anderson, both of Marietta, Ga., Tiffany Monique Anderson Grinder of Dallas, Ga., and Tonya Rene LeBlanc of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Benjamin F. Blake of Georgetown. Funeral services will be eleven o'clock Wednesday morning, February 6, 2008, at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. Michael Leonhardt.
