Andrews: Alberta Ard Howard, 75, wife of the late Perry Eli Howard, died Friday, April 19, 2019, at her residence. Mrs. Howard was born in Andrews on June 6, 1943, a daughter of the late Albert M. Ard and Alliefair Casselman Ard. She grew up in Andrews and graduated from Williamsburg High School. Mrs. Howard retired from the Tupperware Company as a Quality Control Specialist. Alberta's heart was always in Piney Forest Baptist Church where she was a past choir member. She had a great love for fishing and gardening with her flowers and vegetables. She will be missed by her loving children, grandchildren and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Howard was predeceased by: a grandson, Kenneth D. Long, Jr. and two brothers, Arnold E. Ard and Wendell Ard. Surviving are: two daughters, Elizabeth H. Ward (Joe) of Georgetown, Regina H. Ray of Andrews; a son, Perry Eli Howard, Jr. of Andrews; two grandchildren, Heather Ray (Justin McClary) and Cody Ray (Lauren); and three great-grandchildren, Riley Baylor , Anzley Ray and Harley McClary; a brother, Alvin L. Ard, and a sister, Annette Ard Howard. Funeral Services will be one o'clock Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at the Andrews Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home.
