Georgetown:
Aletta Lietz Mishoe, 88, died Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at Agap� Senior Conway.
Mrs. Mishoe was born in Elkton, Mo. on December 28, 1920, a daughter of the late Amos Benjamin Charles Lietz and Nora Eskew Lietz. She attended Springfield College in Springfield, Mo. During World War II, she worked in the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. as a secretarial duty clerk. Mrs. Mishoe was a former Sunday School Teacher and helped to build Friendfield Presbyterian Church. She was a former Cub Scout Den Mother and a member of American Legion Post # 114, where she was a Ladies Captain and a Fairgrounds Judge. Mrs. Mishoe was also an election poll worker for Georgetown County for many years.
Mrs. Mishoe was predeceased by her husband, James Michoe, an infant son, and a brother, Eugene Lietz.
Surviving are: two daughters, Jeane Cooper and Janet Gray, both of Georgetown; a son, James L. Mishoe of N. C.; a sister, Emgene Smedley of Indianapolis, Ind.; six grandchildren, Joey and Jamie Ethridge, Mindy Cribb, James A. Mishoe, Christine Eubanks Humphrey and Ricky Gibson; a number of great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be on Friday afternoon, November 20, 2009, at two o�clock at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
