Pawleys Island:
Alfred "Al" LeClair Main, 80, died Friday, January 14, 2011, at his residence.
Mr. Main was born in Georgetown on October 31, 1930, a son of the late Horace LeClair Main and Loretta "Lee" Marsh Main. He lived most of his life in Georgetown and was a graduate of Winyah High School and served in the Army National Guard. Mr. Main was a retired employee of International Paper Co. and member of the Quarter Century Club there. He was a life long member of First Assembly of God in Georgetown and served his church as Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, and Deacon.
Mr. Main was predeceased by his wife, Frances Strom Main.
Surviving are: three daughters, Donna Renee Main and Connie M. Coursey (Gary), both of Rincon, Ga. and Wanda M. Hill (Freddie) of Georgetown; two sons, Timothy L. Main (Debbie) of Upland, Calif. and Donald A. Main of Fayetteville, N. C.; a sister, Geraldine M. Campbell (John Waring) of Fayetteville, N. C.; eight grandchildren, Kimberly C. Lee (Chuck), Keri C. Calahan (Russ), Jamie Hill, Lora H. Morris (Jeremy), Matthew Main (Brittany), Adam Main, Ashley Main, and Brandon Main; and seven great-grandchildren, Regan Baker, Kyndal Baker, Jay Morris, Olivia Morris, Rusty Calahan, Alexis Calahan, and Madeline Main.
Funeral services will be at three o'clock Monday afternoon, January 17, 2011, at First Assembly of God in Georgetown. Officiating will be the Rev. Clifford Coursey. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens in Georgetown.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Monday in the church sanctuary from two until three.
