Georgetown.: Alice Ola Finks Flournoy, 97, died Sunday, June 20, 2004, in the Bay View section of Georgetown. Mr. Flournoy was born in Lamar, Mo. on November 7, 1906, a daughter of the late Wilmer Preston Finks and Ola Eugenia Smith Finks. She lived most of her life in Lamar and moved to Georgetown in 1992. Mrs. Flournoy was a Presbyterian and a member of the Lamar Garden Club and 20th Century Club. She was the widow of Van Gibson Flournoy. Mrs. Flournoy lived a life of service to others. Alice cared for her dead sister's child, for her father, her mother, her brother, and her husband. She was a very good person, loyal to her family and friends, and true to her principles. Surviving are: her step-daughter and niece, Jean Flournoy Moody of Georgetown; two nieces, Ruth Graves of Blue Springs, Mo. and Irene Whitney of Laguna Hills, Ca.; two great-nieces, Linda Douglas of Phoenix, Ariz. and Ruth Hafner of Blue Springs, Mo.; and a number of great-great nieces and nephews.
