Andrews:
Alice McLean Smith, 94, widow of Arthur Woodrow Smith died Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Tidelands Community Hospice House in Georgetown.
Alice was born in Dunn, N. C. on June 11, 1917, a daughter of the late William Jordan McLean and Emily Tarte McLean. She grew up in N. C. and S. C. and graduated from Winyah High School in Georgetown. Alice lived most of her life in Andrews, where she was an active member of First Baptist Church of Andrews. She served her church in many positions. Alice was known as a great storyteller, one of her many loves.
In addition to her husband and parents, Alice was predeceased by: a son, Jimmy Smith; two brothers, Claude McLean and Alton McLean; and a sister Christine M. Davis.
Surviving are: two sons, Arthur Smith (Linda) of Andrews and William Smith (Vicki) of Chattanooga, Tenn.; a daughter, Cathy Raines (Jim) of Cookeville, Tenn.; a sister, Gladys M. Barrineau of Georgetown; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be eleven o'clock Tuesday morning, June 5, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Andrews. Officiating will be the Rev. Donald P. Sapp. Burial will follow in Andrews Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service in the Parlor of First Baptist Church of Andrews from ten until eleven.
