Obituary

Allen Ray Ketelsen, 49, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Tidelands Georgetown Hospital. He was the son of the late Dean Allen Ketelsen.

Allen loved to laugh and spend time with his family and friends. Allen was one of the most loving and caring individuals. He would always offer to help anyone he could. He was an ace carpenter and took pride in his work. He worked as a carpenter, crane operator, general foreman, and welder on many industrial construction jobs.

He is survived by his mother, Annie Laura Cribb Martin of Myrtle Beach; one son, Trevor Ketelsen of Georgetown and his mother, Krissy May Ketelsen of Georgia; stepmother, Bonnie Ketelsen of Ohio; two brothers, Jared Ketelsen (Taryn) and Lukas Ketelsen (Natalia) of Ohio; one sister, Carrie Dewinter (Josh) of Ohio; four aunts, Dooney Cribb, Joann Caulder, Lorene Cribb, and Linda Faye Cribb; one uncle, Ralph Cribb; and numerous cousins.

Family members who predeceased Allen were his grandparents, Gerhardt (Gay) Ketelsen and Maudie Ketelsen of Ohio and Joe and Rena Cribb of Georgetown; and three uncles, J. P. Cribb, Robert Cribb, and Lloyd Cribb of Georgetown.

Graveside services will be held at 3:30 pm on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Antioch Cemetery (Rhems), Georgetown, SC.

Georgetown Chapel of Mayer-Ethridge Funeral Home and Crematory are handling the arrangements.
