Allison Elise Cornillie, 51, daughter of Michael R. Carter of Pawleys Island, SC and Brenda Johnston of Bremerton, Washington passed away March 31, 2021 at her home in Fountain Inn, SC.
Allison was born August 12, 1969 in Columbia, SC. She grew up in Charleston and graduated from Chesapeake Senior High School in Pasadena, Maryland. She loved to travel and meet new people, and spent time living in Georgetown, SC; Baltimore, MD; Highland Park, IL; Charlotte, NC; Lebanon, TN, and Rocky Mount, NC.
Her enthusiasm was contagious. She taught group aerobics and spin with passion to hundreds of students along the East Coast, and she will be dearly missed by her customers and coworkers at the Bojangles Restaurant in Simpsonville, SC.
Allison was a music lover with immense knowledge and eclectic taste that spanned at least four decades. Her collection of mix CDs was one of her most prized possessions. Always the spirited cook, she also enjoyed dancing, shopping, and playing cards with her family. She adored all animals, but had a particular love for cows, flamingos, goats, and dogs. She possessed a strong will and a love for life.
Surviving are her parents; a daughter Erin Rice of Charlotte, NC; son Colin Rice of Greer, SC; half-brother Mark Carter, St. Cloud, FL; stepmother Vida Miller; stepfather John Paul Johnston; aunt Wallace Houseman, Columbia, SC; uncles Ashley Carter, Pawleys Island SC and Fletcher Carter, Columbia, SC.
Funeral services will be held at one o'clock on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home Chapel.. The Reverend Dr. Ted Sherill will officiate.
