Andrews:
Amanda Ethridge Cooper, 93, died Tuesday, February 1, 2005, at Prince George Healthcare Center in Georgetown.
Mrs. Cooper was born November 20, 1911 in the Piney Forest section of Williamsburg County, a daughter of the late William Harrison Ethridge and Sally Godwin Ethridge. Mrs. Cooper lived in the Big Dam area most of her life. She was a member of Pine Crest Baptist Church, the Woman's Missionary Society, and was a substitute teacher for the Adult Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary. Mrs. Cooper was the widow of Woodrow Wilson Cooper.
Surviving are: two step-daughters, Monica C. Moore and Kathy C. Elliott, both of Georgetown; and six step-grandchildren.
Mrs. Cooper was also predeceased by: two brothers, Luther J. Ethridge and William Woodrow Ethridge; and a sister, Effie Powell.
Funeral services will be Thursday, February 3, 2005, at three o'clock in Pine Crest Baptist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Paul W. Wall and the Rev. Murray Powell. Burial will follow in Andrews Memorial Cemetery.
