Obituary

Mechanicsburg, Pa.: Andrew John Maroney, 49, went to be with his father in heaven on Friday, August 24, 2007. Mr. Maroney was born in Englewood Cliffs, N. J. on May 19, 1958, a son of Jane Thompson Maroney and the late John James Maroney. He was a graduate of Cumberland Valley High School in Mechanicsburg, Class of 1976. Mr. Maroney was also a graduate of Christ For The Nations Institute in Dallas, Tex., and became a licensed minister. He graduated from a flight school in Kansas, so he could purse his dream to become a pilot and flight instructor. Mr. Maroney worked as a flight instructor for a time and was currently employed with Fry Communications, Inc. in Mechanicsburg. Mr. Maroney was a member of Christ Community Church in Camp Hill, Pa. Mr. Maroney's real passion was to know the heart of his heavenly Father and do his will. His God given talents led him to teach and preach the Word of God in numerous places throughout North America. He was a loving son, protective brother, a doting uncle, and loyal friend. He also liked to hunt, fish on the beaches of the ocean, and socialize with people. Surviving in addition to his mother of Georgetown are: a sister, Margaret M. Tyrrell and her husband Bob, a nephew, Nicholas W. Tyrrell, and two nieces, Angela J. Tyrrell and Ashley S. Tyrrell, all of Carlisle, Pa. Funeral services will be two o'clock Wednesday afternoon, August 29, 2007, at Ringel Heights Baptist Church in Georgetown. Officiating will be the Rev. Chris Giles. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery Annex in Georgetown. There will be a memorial service at his church in Camp Hill at a later date. Sign a guest book at www.mayerfuneralhome.com.
