Annalyn McDonald Platt, 82, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at Angel Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. A loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Annalyn will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her oldest son, Huston "Rocky" Platt Jr.(Jenny); her grandchildren, Andrew Platt, Jordan Platt (Jordan), and Logan Platt (Kristina); and her two great-grandchildren. Annalyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband Huston Platt Sr and her youngest son, Richard "Ricky" Platt.

Annalyn was the daughter of the late Harvey and Virginia McDonald. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Harvey Gene McDonald, and her sister, Gail McDonald Moore. She is survived by her brother-in-law, Michael Moore and her sister-in-law, Sherry McDonald.

Annalyn was welcomed into the Platt family by her in-laws, the late Hubert and Bee Platt, Buddy and Dot Platt, Ronnie and Mable Hamer, Beverly Platt, and Joe Platt. She is survived by her brother-in-law, Ray Platt.

Annalyn leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will miss her dearly.

Her family extends their gratitude to the staff of Angel Oaks for their compassionate care for the past several years.

A celebration of Annalyn's life will be planned for a later date, where her family and friends will gather to honor her legacy.
