Georgetown:
Anne "Rooney" Lindsay Mincey passed away peacefully on January 31, 2019.
Anne was born in Bennettsville, SC on December 8, 1942 to parents Mary Anne and Ross M. Lindsay. She worked as an executive secretary for Willamett Paper Co. in Bennettsville, SC and Fort Mill, SC. After retiring, she made her home in Georgetown, SC at DeBordieu
She was an active member of St. Pauls Episcopal Church, All Saints Church, and The Abbey at Pawleys Island. She was a member of the Order of Daughters of the King.
She enjoyed being in the Pilot Club, Marlboro Players, Arts Council and volunteering at the church.
Some of the things that Anne loved most were the North Carolina mountains, finding shells on the beach, Barry Manilow music, roses, and spoiling her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents and her husband James "Jim" Mincey.
She is survived by: her brother, Ross "Buddy" Lindsay (Marie) and children - Ken McQuage (Suzie), Walker McQuage (Sabrina), Mary Ross McQuage (Scott), Sheri Blakley, and Eddie Mincey (Hilda). She leaves sixteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren who were blessed to have her as their grandmother.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Old Church at All Saints Church in Pawleys Island, SC on Saturday, May 11, 2019.
