Georgetown:
Anne Ruth Marsh Williams, 89, devoted wife and loving mother, died Tuesday, October 21, 2008, at home surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Williams was born in Johnsonville on May 4, 1919, the daughter of the late Wade Hampton Marsh and Annie Martha Eaddy Marsh. She was a graduate of Johnsonville High School. Mrs. Williams was a very active member of Rose Hill Baptist Church as long as her health permitted.
Mrs. Williams was predeceased by: her husband, Ted V. Williams; a son, Jesse Edward Williams; and a granddaughter, Jessica Lynn Williams.
Surviving are: four daughters, Linda W. Stanton (Josh) of Hartsville, Angela W. Gainey (Tom Davis) of Timmonsville, Peggy W. Williams (Cecil) of Georgetown, and Van W. Balser (Richard) of Columbia; ten grandchildren, Renee W. Boykin (Robbie), Teresa W. Cagle (Nathan), Ted Van Williams, all of Georgetown, Randy Williams (Tracy) of Hemingway, Aubrey N. Totten (Randel) of Timmonsville, Jim Stanton and David Stanton, both of Hartsville, Mellisa C. Thomas (Brett) of Irmo, Jennifer C. Cowherd (Jeff) of Columbia, and Kristina A. Clark of Venice Beach, CA; nine great-grandchildren; and five caregivers, Vanessa Larkin, Shirley Cameron, Paulette Brown, Clara Gainey, and Cathleen Grant.
Funeral services will be Thursday afternoon, October 23, 2008, at three-thirty o'clock in Rose Hill Baptist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Dale Tripp and the Rev. Frankie Tanner. Burial will follow in the Churchyard.
