Andrews:
Annie Lois Glisson Ethridge, 89, widow of James Muldred Ethridge, died Saturday, October 26, 2013, at Tidelands Hospice House in Georgetown.
Mrs. Ethridge was born in Florence County on December 21, 1923, a daughter of the late David Marion Glisson and Nora Bell Clifton Glisson. She grew up in Andrews and was a former employee of Oneita Knitting Mills. Mrs. Ethridge was a life-long member of Andrews Baptist Church.
Surviving are: two brothers, John Watson Glisson and Ronnie Glisson (Annette) of Andrews; three sisters, Johnsie Johnson of Georgetown, and Evelyn Hughes of Monroe, N.C. and Modrey Chavis Coward (Jack) of Columbia; a special niece, Debbie Morris (Laurie); and a number of other nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Ethridge was predeceased by a daughter, Patsy Gail Ethridge.
Funeral services will be held at two o'clock on Tuesday afternoon, October 29, 2013, at the Andrews Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. Murray Powell. Burial will follow at Piney Forest Cemetery.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home from one until two o'clock.
