Georgetown: Annie Ruth Goude Miller, 90, died Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at Tidelands Community Hospice. Mrs. Miller was born May 16, 1921 in Georgetown County, a daughter of the late John Leslie McFarland "Mack" Goude and Annie Ruth Russ Goude. She grew up in upper Georgetown County. Mrs. Miller was a very active Charter Member of Graves Southern Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher, RA, GA, and Sunbeam Leader and a choir member. She loved to teach children. Mrs. Miller was the widow of Stephen Andrew Miller, Sr. Mrs. Miller was predeceased by a daughter, Barbara Miller Jordan and a brother, Laurice "Boo" Goude. Surviving are: a son, Stephen Andrews Miller, Jr. (Samphors) of Cambodia; two daughters, Shirley Miller Thornley (Ed) and Harriett Miller, both of Georgetown; two brothers, Lloyd Goude of Georgetown and Leslie McFarland "Doug" Goude of Beaufort; three sisters, Ozela Lambert of Beaufort, Jennie Lee Miler of Georgetown and Lauvenia Goude of Georgia; thirteen grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be two-thirty o'clock Saturday afternoon, June 18, 2011, at Graves Southern Baptist Church. Officiating will be Pastor Colin Thornley and Mike Goude. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Church Friday evening, June 17, 2011, from six until eight o'clock.
