Obituary

Georgetown: Archie Lewis Mills, 65, died Saturday, April 9, 2010, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Mr. Mills was born in Conway on October 24, 1945, a son of the late Percy Edward Mills, Sr. and Thelma Grace Lewis Mills. He grew up in Georgetown and attended state and private schools. He was retired from retail sales and a former caretaker of Elmwood Cemetery. Mr. Mills was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. Surviving are: a brother, P. Edward Mills, Jr. of Pawleys Island; three sisters, Nina M. Morris (Ted) and Inez M. McElveen, both of Georgetown and Martha Lee Bell of Johnsonville-Hemingway; a half-brother, Charles Kolb (Jane) of Summerville; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be three o'clock Tuesday afternoon, April 12, 2011, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Pastor Arden Hallman. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. Sign a guest book at www.mayerfuneralhome.com.
