Summerville:
Arthur Virgil Milloway, 89, died Sunday, November 23, 2008, at The Village in Summerville.
Mr. Milloway was born in Durham, N. C. on June 23, 1919, a son of the late Eugene Churchill Milloway and Myrtle Wilson Milloway. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. Mr. Milloway worked with Parrish Motor Co. for twenty-one years and retired from the Georgetown City School System in 1977.
Mr. Milloway was an active member of Georgetown Presbyterian Church. He served his church as Sunday School Superintendent, a Sunday School Teacher, Deacon, and Elder. He was a past Commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #6444, a past president of the Navy Club, and a member of the Toastmasters Club. He was also a former member of the Winyah Bay Country Club and the Georgetown Country Club.
Memorial services will be eleven o'clock Wednesday morning, November 26, 2008, at Georgetown Presbyterian Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Stephen H. Wilkins and Chaplain Achim Daffin of The Village. Inurnment will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens in Georgetown.
Surviving are: his wife of 62 years, Sara Huggins Milloway of Summerville; a son, Arthur V. (Beverly) Milloway, Jr. of Arden, N. C.; a grandson, Matthew J. Milloway of Savannah, Ga.; and five nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home Tuesday evening, November 25, 2008 from five until seven.
