Georgetown: Ruby Mae Randall Avant, 77, died Friday, April 29, 2005, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Avant was born in Chester on January 15, 1928, a daughter of the late Vernon Randall and Gertie Bruce Randall. She moved to Georgetown in 1945. Mrs. Avant retired from Oneita Industries and was a former employee of Georgetown Dress Plant. She was an active member of First Assembly of God, Women Ministries, and the Open Bible Class. She was the widow of Wilson B. Avant. Surviving are: a son, Larry B. Avant of Georgetown; a daughter, Brenda A. Foxworth of Georgetown; a sister, Shirley Morrison of Clover; a brother, Frank Reynolds of Rock Hill; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Monday morning, May 2, 2005, at eleven o'clock in First Assembly of God. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Dr. C. Bradley Morris.
