Pawleys Island:
Barbara Lee Thomas Moore, 59, died Saturday, December 18, 2010, at the Medical University of S. C. Hospital in Charleston.
Mrs. Moore was born in Georgetown on November 8, 1951, a daughter of the late James Clarence Thomas and Beala Marie Creel Thomas. She worked with a number of different businesses including: a journalist and award winning writer with the Georgetown Times, a free lance writer for the Sun News, Cox Construction Co., Advent Product Development, and Active Glass and Mirrors. Mrs. Moore was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith.
Surviving are: her husband, Charles W. Moore of Pawleys Island; a son, Billy Brian Moore of Pawleys Island; a step-son, Charles William Tracy Moore of Georgetown; three brothers, Joseph L Thomas, Jerry G. Thomas, and J. Michael Thomas, all of Andrews; two sisters, Kathryn Tyler of Andrews and Ann Lambert of Florence; five step-grandchildren; a number of step-great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be three o'clock Tuesday afternoon, December 21, 2010, at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home.
