Ladson: Barbara A. Wewers, 64, died Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at Trident Medical Center in N. Charleston. Ms. Wewers was born in Georgetown on November 15, 1950, a daughter of the late Alphonse Glonie Wewers, Sr. and Evelyn Elizabeth Vanderbilt Wewers. She grew up in Georgetown and lived most of her life in Ladson. Ms. Wewers was of the Catholic faith. She was an inspiration to all and had a great love for family. Surviving are: a brother, Al G. Wewers, Jr. (Patty) of Georgetown; and two sisters, Betty W. Harrelson (James) of Georgetown and Patricia W. Barnes of Andrews; and a number of nieces and nephews. A mass of Christian burial will be held at eleven o'clock on Friday morning, March 27, 2015, at Saint Mary, Our Lady of Ransom Catholic Church in Georgetown. Officiating will be the Rev. Ronald J. Farrell. Burial will follow at Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 26, 2015, at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home from five until seven o'clock.
