Georgetown:
Betty Ann Blake Wiggins, 82, widow of John Winston Wiggins, died Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Tidelands Community Hospice House.
Mrs. Wiggins was born in Georgetown on November 30, 1932, a daughter of the late James Lester Blake and Myrtle Thomas Blake. She grew up in the Sampit Community of Georgetown County and attended Andrews High School. Mrs. Wiggins retired after thirty-five years employment with Oneita Knitting Mills in Andrews. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and a kind, caring, loving, and giving person.
Surviving are: four daughters, Helen Blakely (Harold), Linda Cannon (Ronnie), Donna Howard (Michael), and Karen Davis, all of Andrews; three brothers, James Blake, Jr. of Mt. Pleasant, Thomas Blake of Columbia, and Donnie Blake of Georgetown; three sisters, Jeanette Wilson and Bertie Maude Newton, both of Georgetown, and Evelyn Newton of Andrews; eleven grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Wiggins was predeceased by: a son, Jimmy Winston Wiggins; a brother, Ray Blake; and a sister Deborah Pierce.
Funeral services will be two o'clock Monday afternoon, December 22, 2014 at Sts. Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church. Officiating will be Pastor Chris Browder. Burial will follow in Sampit United Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service at the church from one until two.
