Pawleys Island:
Betty Caulder Barnes, 75, died Sunday, December 11, 2005, at Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet.
Mrs. Barnes was born in Andrews on March 1, 1930, the daughter of the late Julius McDowell Caulder and Retha Lee Skipper Caulder. She grew up in the Andrews area and lived in Georgetown prior to moving to Pawleys Island. Mrs. Barnes was a former employee of Winyah Nursing Home in Georgetown and The Christmas Shop at Pawleys Island. She was a member of Pawleys Island Community Church.
Mrs. Barnes was predeceased by: her husband, Ernest Theodore Barnes; and a son, Bobby Barnes.
Surviving are: three sons, Donald Barnes of Warner Robins, Ga., Kenny Barnes of Pawleys Island, and Russell Barnes of Georgetown; two brothers, Cecil O. Caulder of Buffalo, N. Y. and the Rev. Leland M. Caulder of Birmingham, Ala.; eleven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be eleven o'clock Tuesday morning, December 13, 2005, at Pawley Island Community Church Chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Bob Barrows and the Rev. Leland M. Caulder. Burial will follow in Bethel United Methodist Cemetery near Andrews.
