Betty Graham Moody, 94, widow of William "Bill" Moody, died January 13, 2023, at her daughter-in-law's home. Roberta Tisdale Moody was not only an in-law but was Betty's special daughter and care taker.
Mrs. Moody was born in Dillon, SC on September 24, 1928, a daughter of the late George Darius Graham and Roxie Irene Harrelson Graham.
Betty grew up in Fork, SC and graduated from Lake View High School where she was on the basketball team, a cheer leader and was in the Beta Club. She was a long time faithful member of Sampit United Methodist Church. Mrs. Moody was a wonderful cook and enjoyed working in her yard with her flowers. Betty had many talents and one of them was a perfect homemaker and house keeper, everything has to be clean and in its place. Her grands remembered granny as the one who would raid the pie safe of all the "Sweets". She was such a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Moody is predeceased by, a son, Boyce Moody; a daughter, Brenda Moody; three brothers, John C., J. W. and Harry Graham; three sisters, Georgie Ellis, Roxalee Morgan and Margie Rogers.
Surviving are: a daughter-in-law, Roberta Tisdale Moody; two grandsons, William Moody (Kristen) and Matthew Moody (Erica) both of Georgetown; a grand-daughter, Meredith Kellahan (Ken) of Kingstree; one sister, Sarah Ann Watts; a special niece and nephew Barbara Ann Newell and Danny Ellis; nine great-grandchildren, Sarah Kensley, Sophie, Anne and Addison Kellahan, Ella, Bo and Cole Moody, Sully Bryan and Whit Moody.
Roberta and children would like to especially thank Mary and Larry Tisdale for their loving support during Mrs. Moody's illness.
Graveside Services will be three o'clock Sunday, January 15, 2023, at Sampit United Methodist Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Mary Green.
The family will receive friends prior to the service in the Sampit United Methodist Church Sanctuary from two until three o'clock.
