Betty Snellgrove Thomas, 91, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024, at her home in McClellanville. Born in Ocilla, GA, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin Wesley and Beulah (Bridges) Snellgrove.

She was a lifetime member of McClelanville Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Jack B. "Tommy" (Alison Branham) Thomas, Jr. of the home; one daughter, Connie (Scott) Leland of Rock Hill, SC; and two granddaughters, Katie Leland of Ohio and Ashley Leland of Rock Hill.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to St. Frances Animal Shelter, 125 Ridge St., Georgetown, SC 29440 www.sfanimals.org or the Alzheimer's www.alz.org/sc.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, April 15, 2024 in St. James Santee Memorial Cemetery in McClelanville, with Rev. Ricky West officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the cemetery.

The Georgetown Chapel of Mayer-Ethridge Funeral Home and Crematory is handling the arrangements.
