Andrews:
Beverly Tanner Dunn, 75, wife of Benjamin F. Dunn, Sr., died Friday, July 14, 2017, at her residence.
Mrs. Dunn was born July 8, 1942, a daughter of the late Jasper B. Tanner and Ettie H. Tanner. She grew up in Indiantown and graduated from Indiantown High School in 1960. Mrs. Dunn was a member of the 1959 championship basketball team. She attended business college in Florence. Mrs. Dunn coached basketball at Andrews Academy and also coached many other sports in the community.
Mrs. Dunn was a former employee of Georgetown Textile and Phoenix Medical. She retired from TD Bank. She was an accomplished seamstress and taught sewing for a time. Mrs. Dunn was an avid reader and a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of Andrews Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dunn was predeceased by: three brothers, Raymond, Levon, and Jerriell Tanner; and a sister Lola Patrick.
Surviving in addition to her husband of Andrews are: three sons, Benjie Dunn and Brian Dunn, both of Andrews and Rev. Brad Dunn (Kim) of Georgetown; four grandchildren; Laura, Tanner, Anna, and Ava Dunn four sisters, Lyda Hughes of Cottageville, Margaret Epps of Bonneau, Iona Prow of Thomson, Ga.; and Jean Ozee of Montgomery, Ala.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be five o'clock Monday afternoon, July 17, 2017, at Andrews Presbyterian Church. Officiating will be the Rev. William Clinton Stockton and her son, Rev. Brad Dunn. Burial will follow in Andrews Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening, July 16, 2017, at the Andrews Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home from six until eight.
