Georgetown:
Billy Furman Cave, 80, passed away on August 22, 2017, at his home in Debordieu. The son of the late J.M. Cave and Louise Morris Cave, he was born in Olar, SC and grew up in Walterboro, SC. Mr. Cave was a graduate of the University of South Carolina, where he was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity.
Mr. Cave was an investment banker on Wall Street associated with several firms in his long professional career, eventually returning to the South Carolina low-country in 1993, and continuing to work as a consultant until his retirement. He served on many local non-profit boards and enjoyed the arts, golf and tennis. He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather.
Mr. Cave is preceded in death by his wife Sarah Cave Cave and his daughter, Barrier Carol Cave. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Kauzor Cave, his brothers, Robert E. Cave and J. Morris Cave, his daughter Bennett Cave Rich, her husband Stephen D. Rich and his grandchildren, Marshal Barrier Rich and Elizabeth Lee Rich.
A memorial service will be held at Holy Cross Faith Memorial Episcopal Church, Pawleys Island, Saturday, September 2, 2017, at two p.m.
