Andrews: Bobby Lee Newton, 67, died Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at his residence. Mr. Newton was born in Andrews on June 1, 1944, a son of the late Robert B. Newton and Mary Cleo Thomas Newton. He grew up in the Oceda section of Georgetown County and was a graduate of Andrews High School. Mr. Newton was an active member of Gourdine's Chapel Church, where he was a Sunday School teacher for a number of years. He was the owner and operator of Interior Landscaping. Mr. Newton was also predeceased by: a brother, Robert O'Quinn Newton. Surviving are; five brothers, Herman (Carol) Newton, John (Judy) Newton, and Mark (Ann) Newton all of Andrews, David Newton and Laurie (Joan) Newton both of Conway; a sister, Judy Newton of Andrews; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday morning, December 3, 2011, at eleven o'clock at Gourdine's Chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Themos Cribb. Burial will follow in Gourdine's Chapel Churchyard.
