Georgetown: Bonnie Turner Altman, 93, widow of Winston Owen Altman, died Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Altman was born in Marion on October 23, 1921, a daughter of the late William Monroe Turner and Annie Eliza Lambert Turner. She grew up in Marion and graduated from Rains-Centenary High School. Mrs. Altman was a charter member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Pawleys Island. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was best known for her chocolate cake. Surviving are: three daughters, Phail A. Owens (Charles H.) of Pawleys Island, Wendy A. Miller of Summerville, and Bonnie A. Hilliard (John) of Georgetown; six grandchildren, Paxton Owens (Anna), Ti Owens (Judy), Byron Owens (Tracy), Tabitha M. Keefer (Terry), Eliza Hilliard, and Katherine Haven Hilliard; five great-grandchildren; and three grand-puppies, Zelda, Bruno, and Mocha. Mrs. Altman was predeceased by two grandchildren, four brothers, two sisters, and a son-in-law, Charles R. Miller. Memorial funeral services will be Saturday, March 7, 2015 at two o'clock in the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home. Officiating will be Pastor Hartmut Fege.
