Andrews: Brenda Joyce Bruce Cannon, 64, wife of Jimmie Earl Cannon, died Monday, February 15, 2016, at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Cannon was born April 2, 1951 in Rochelle, Ga, a daughter of Vera Lucille Warren Bruce and the late Charles Gilbert Bruce. She grew up in Macon, Ga. where she attended High School and College. She was a member of Piney Forest Baptist Church and sang in the church choir. Mrs. Cannon retired from International Paper Company. She had a great love for sewing and quilting. Mrs. Cannon will be missed by her family and a host of friend. Mrs. Cannon was predeceased by: her father; a brother, Wayne Bruce; and a step-son, Jimmie Earl Cannon, Jr. She is survived by: her husband of Andrews, a daughter, Christy M. Bruce of Roberta, Ga.; a step-daughter, Judy Gibbs (William) of Syracuse, N.Y.; a step-son, Phillip C. Cannon (Vania) of Myrtle Beach; two sisters, Ann Clark and Vickie Burgamy (Steve), both of Macon Ga.; two brothers, Gill Bruce (Betty) of York, Pa. and Donnie Bruce (Drucy) of Brunswick, Ga.; her best friend, Lea Smith of Macon, Ga.; a number of nieces and nephews including, Susanne Clark of Dublin, Ga.; and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be eleven o'clock Friday morning, February 19, 2016, at Piney Forest Baptist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Craig Stephenson. Burial will follow in Piney Forest Cemetery.
