Bruce “Elliott” Taylor, Jr., born May 21, 1983, in Georgetown, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at the age of 43.

Elliott was unapologetically himself and lived life on his own terms. Beneath his strong personality was a big heart and a willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need. He especially enjoyed spending time oystering in Murrells Inlet, where he could enjoy the outdoors and the waters of the Lowcountry.

Elliott was preceded in death by his mother, Rhonda Gail Causey; his grandmother, Beulah Taylor; and his uncles, Mark Causey and Jerry Causey.

He is survived by his daughter, Brianna Holliday; his father, Bruce Elliott Taylor, Sr.; his siblings, Christopher Ryan Ammons (Laura), Nicholas Dalton Rogers, Corey Dakota Rogers, Joshua Dillon Taylor, Kelsey Nicole Pitcock (Brandon), and Summer Angel Dimaggio (Vincent); along with other extended family members and friends.

A memorial service celebrating Elliott’s life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).

The Maryville Chapel of Mayer-Ethridge Funeral Home is assisting the family.
