Georgetown: Bruce Edmond Yablin, 69, died Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at Tidelands Community Hospice House. Mr. Yablin was born in Miami Beach, Fla. on April 9, 1946, a son of the late Robert Yablin and Rhoda Sylvia Paul Yablin. He grew up in Watertown, N.Y. and has lived in Georgetown for the last 29 years. Mr. Yablin was a mechanical engineer and worked for Daniel Construction and Winyah Storage. He was a member of the Lion's Club and attended Ringle Heights Baptist Church. Surviving are: his wife of 17 years, Opal Chism Yablin of Georgetown; three sons, Christopher John Willin, Joshua Tatom, and David Lee Tatom; a daughter, Janie Elizabeth Tatom; a brother-in-law, Damon Chism; two brothers; and two half-sisters. In addition to his parents, Mr. Yablin was predeceased by a son, Matthew B. Ashcraft. Memorial services will be held at two o'clock on Sunday afternoon, May 3, 2015, at Ringle Heights Baptist Church.
