Pawleys Island: Carl Edward Camlin, 63, died Saturday, June 30, 2007, at his residence. Mr. Camlin was born in Georgetown on March 11, 1944, a son of the late Richard Manning Camlin and Hattie Platt Camlin. He grew up in Georgetown and graduated from Winyah High School. Mr. Camlin was an employee of Atlantic Coast Life Insurance Co. He was a member of Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church in Georgetown. Surviving are: his wife, Yvonne Guarrera Camlin of Pawleys Island; two daughters, Christy Emry and her husband Jay of Georgetown and Mandy Larue and her husband James of Charleston; a brother, Dr. Richard Camlin and his wife Darden of Georgetown; a sister, Anne Koerber and her husband Harold of Pawleys Island; a grandson, Graham Emry of Georgetown; and best friend, Grover Shuler of Pawleys Island. Funeral services will be one o'clock Tuesday afternoon, July 3, 2007, at the graveside in Elmwood Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Phillip C. Thrailkill.
