Obituary

Mrs. Carnell Bass Chinlund of Pawleys Island, South Carolina entered into eternal rest on September 7, 2009 at the age of 96. Mrs. Chinlund was born in Lake Charles, LA but spent most of her life in Baltimore, Maryland where she graduated from The Bryn Mawr School in 1933, raised her family, and was a member of the Baltimore County Club, Church of the Redeemer and St. David's Episcopal Church. After marrying Harold Chinlund, they retired to Sun City, Arizona where she was a member of Union Hills Country Club and All Saints of the Desert Episcopal Church. She was an accomplished artist and a Life Master bridge enthusiast. Mrs. Chinlund is survived by her three children: J. Robert Manuel III, Georgetown, SC; Carnell Manuel Boyle, Southern Shores, NC; and Allen Gregory Manuel, Timonium, MD; plus five grand children and six great grandchildren. Mrs. Chinlund will be interred at Prince George Winyah Episcopal Church, Georgetown, SC following a family memorial service presided over by The Rev. Linda Hofmann Manuel.
