Carol Helen Smith, 84, wife of Leroy Davis Smith, passed away on August 15, 2024, at Embrace Hospice of South Carolina in Myrtle Beach.

Born April 22, 1940, in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of Albert and Iris Brandt. She was predeceased by her husband and her parents.

Carol will be remembered as a great friend to many. She was the "know all of everyone" and strived to keep in touch with her family. For a long while, Carol could be found with a camera around her neck capturing loving memories of those surrounding her. She often gifted her loved ones a family calendar adorned with the photos she took.

Carol is survived by two children, Jeffrey Smith and Kimber Potter, five grandchildren, Ashley Potter, Jacob Potter, Samantha Jones, Autumn Lawson and Margaret Keeney, two siblings, Ronald Brandt and Lynn Clark, and her sister-in-law, Marilyn Smith.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Spring Oak at Conway (formerly Carolina Gardens) and Embrace Hospice of South Carolina.

A private memorial service will be held by the family.
