Carol Jean Carter Sorokach, 80, wife of Michael Sorokach, passed away at Savannah Grace Nursing Home in Mt. Pleasant on August 24, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.
Carol was born January 15, 1936 in Pleasant Hill, a daughter of the late James and Addie Carter. She was a graduate of Winyah High School and a 1958 graduate of the University of South Carolina. Carol was a member of St. Mary, Our Lady of Ransom, Catholic Church, sang in the choir for several years, and also instructed the First Communion classes. She volunteered at St. Cyprians Catholic Church for many years, helping with various church projects – her favorite was working in the Clothes Closet.
Carol is now resting in peace with her Heavenly Father and Jesus. She was a dedicated wife and a supportive, encouraging, and loving mother for all of her children. Carol was a dedicated friend to all of those whose path she crossed. We will truly miss Carol, but we know she is experiencing true comfort, joy, and peace. We love you Mom and give praise that you are no longer suffering.
