Murrells Inlet:
Caroline Wragg Hane Hoffman, 66, died Monday, November 1, 2010, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Hoffman was born on October 16, 1944 in Georgetown, a daughter of the late Whitfield Watson Hane and Margaret Radcliffe Wragg Hane. She grew up in Georgetown and graduated from Winyah High School. Mrs. Hoffman attended the University of S.C. She was a member of Holy Cross Faith Memorial Episcopal Church, where she served on the Altar Guild for a number of years.
Surviving are: her husband, David Shirley of Murrells Inlet; a son, Whitfield Hoffman of Myrtle Beach; two step-daughters, Kelly Shirley and Kim Silver, both of Murrells Inlet; a sister, Margaret "Margie" Hane of Moncks Corner; and three grandchildren, Aiden, Charlie and Cape.
Mrs. Hoffman was predeceased by: a son, Frederick Hane Hoffman; and a daughter, Caroline Cecile "Cissy" Hoffman.
Memorial services will be on Thursday afternoon, November 4, 2010, at Holy Cross Faith Memorial Episcopal Church at two o'clock. Officiating will be the Rev. Tommy Tipton. A reception will follow the service at the Church.
