Carolyn Rebecca "Reba" Barnes Cook, 93, died Saturday, February 9, 2008 at McLeod Medical Center in Florence, South Carolina.
She was born in Rhems, South Carolina, September 13, 1914, to Robert and Carolyn Barnes. Her husband, Desmond Payne Cook and two brothers Malcolm Barnes and Liston Barnes are also deceased.
"Miss Reba" was active in her community church and garden club. She was a member of the Arthur Manigault Chapter #63 of the United Daughters of the Confederacy and served as Chapter President.
She is survived by her brother-in-law and sister, James L. and Mable Brown, and by her nephew and caregiver, Robert Brown. She was a loving aunt to her three nephews and three nieces and their families.
A graveside service will be held at one o'clock on Tuesday, February 12th at Union United Methodist Cemetery in Rhems, South Carolina.
