Andrews:
Carrie Casselman Langston, 83, died Sunday, June 29, 2008, at her residence.
Mrs. Langston was born in Andrews on December 4, 1924, a daughter of the late Douglas Casselman and Adeline Herring Casselman. She lived all her life in the Andrews area and was a retired employee of Oneita Industries. Mrs. Langston was a member of New Hope Fellowship Church, where she served as church treasurer.
Mrs. Langston was predeceased by: her husband, Kenneth W. Langston; and a son, Van Langston.
Surviving are: five sons, Arthur Langston, Don Langston, and Dan Langston, all of Andrews, Walt Langston of Hemingway, and Andy Owens of Georgetown; two daughters, Barbara Davis and Bonny "Jan" West, both of Andrews; three sisters, Nellie Port and Bernie Mae Port, both of Hemingway, and Joann Rogerson of Andrews; seventeen grandchildren; thirty five great-grandchildren; and three great great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be six o'clock Tuesday evening, July, 1, 2008, at Family Worship Center. Officiating will be the Rev. Murray W. Powell and the Rev. John W. Casselman. Burial will follow in Piney Forest Cemetery.
