IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Cecil Malon
Mcgee
May 16, 1936 – June 8, 2024
Georgetown ~
Cecil Malon McGee, peacefully passed away with his family by his side on June 08, 2024 at the age of 88. He was born on May 16, 1936, in Georgetown, SC, where he resided throughout his life. Malon was the son of the late Cecil McGee and Erma Lee McGee Ayers.
Malon attended Palmer College and dedicated 43 years of his career to International Paper Company, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and commitment. Malon was also a man of many talents. His gardening and carpentry skills were proven and admired by many. He often referred to his garden as God's Garden and shared its plentiful bounty with others. Above all else, Malon's devotion to God was unwavering, and he found solace and strength in his faith throughout his days.
Surviving is his wife, Cecilia Dulay McGee, from Manila, Philippines. For 39 years, their love was unyielding and inspiring to all who knew them. Although Malon was not a member of the Catholic faith, he attended Mass religiously in support of Cecilia's faith. Malon is also survived by his two daughters, April McGee McEntire (Bill) of Lexington, SC, and Sheena Lee McGee of Chesapeake, VA, and grandchildren Chandler, Mackenzie, and Tyler. His presence will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Malon felt strongly about helping those in need. In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations be made to Friendship Place friendshipplaceinc.org or Helping Hands helpinghandsofgeorgetown.org in Georgetown.
