Georgetown:
Charles Roy Farrell, Jr., 82, died Friday, September 24, 2010, at Tidelands Community Hospice House.
Mr. Farrell was born in Charlotte, N.C. on July 25, 1928, a son of the late Charles Roy Farrell and Cecil Roupe Farrell. He was in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Farrell was instrumental in starting the first Association for Exceptional Children in Georgetown. He was also president of Randolph Co., N.C. Assoc. of Educators (N.C.A.E.) and the S.C. Assoc. of Educators (S.C.A.E.). Mr. Farrell was a member of Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church.
Surviving are: his wife, Violet Farrell of Georgetown; a daughter, Deborah Seale of Georgetown; a son, Charles Regan Farrell (Sue) of Laurel Hill, N.C.; and four grandchildren, John Robert Seale, II, William Regan Seale, Charles Regan Farrell, Jr. and James Edwin Farrell.

Memorial services will be at three o'clock on Tuesday afternoon, September 28, 2010, at Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. G. Edward Usher.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service in the church parlor from two until three o'clock.
