Pawleys Island: Charles Cornelius Jordan, 80, died Friday, December 12, 2008, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Mr. Jordan was born in Georgetown on September 9, 1928, a son of the late Andrews Watson Jordan and Pecola Fenters Jordan. He lived most of his life in Georgetown and served in the S. C. Army National Guard. Mr. Jordan was a retired commercial fisherman and a member of North Hampton Baptist Church. Mr. Jordan was predeceased by: his wife, Sandra Watson Jordan; and three brothers, A. W. Jordan, J. Richard Jordan, and Leon Franklin Jordan. Surviving are: three brothers, Billy H. Jordan, Joseph D. Jordan, and Johnny W. Jordan, all of Georgetown; two sisters, Doris J. Prosser of N. C. and Katherine J. Hunter of Ga.; and a number of nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be eleven o'clock Monday morning, December 15, 2008, at North Hampton Baptist Church.
