Georgetown: Chris Marney Roach, 61, died August 12, 2005 at her residence. Funeral services will be Monday, August 15, 2005 at 2 PM at Prince George, Winyah, Episcopal Church. The Rev. Burton Newman and The Rev. Scott Fleischer will officiate. Inurnment will be in the church columbarium. Mrs. Roach was born May 1, 1944 in Louisville, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Leonard Carlyle and Elizabeth Christopher Marney of Charlotte, N. C. Mrs. Roach was a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, N. C. with a degree in Religion and Philosophy. Surviving are: her husband, L. Thomas Roach of Georgetown; a son, Scott Marney Roach of Georgetown; a daughter, Heather Roach Koepnick of Athens, Ga.; a sister, Susan Elizabeth Marney of Roanoke, Va.; and two grandchildren, Scott Tyler and Savannah Lynn Roach, both of Georgetown.
