Georgetown:

Christian John Bech, 70, husband of Robin Scott Bech, died November 11, 2022, at his residence.

Mr. Bech was born in Patterson, New Jersey on February 20th, 1952, a son of the late Allen Sigfred Bech and Marie Walker Riedel.

Chris grew up in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey where he graduated from Pompton Lakes High School in 1970. In the late 70s, Chris moved to Georgetown where he eventually started his own business in boat restoration called Classic Yacht Marine Service. He was an avid fisherman and earned his Captains license in 2008. He was a member of the Georgetown Anglers Club.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Bech was predeceased by: his step father, Arthur Riedel, a step sister, Diane Thornton, and a nephew, Brandon Riedel (Wendy).

Surviving are: his wife, a daughter, Abbey Bech, two sons, Joseph Bech and Tyler Bradley, two brothers, Allen S. (Chip) Bech (Marty) and Tim Bech (Carol), two step sisters, Cecelia Berner (Bob) and Beth Riedel (Tim), a step brother, Arthur T. (Hank) Riedel (Cheryl), and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be one o'clock Friday, November 18th, at Prince George Winyah Church. Burial will follow at Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
