Georgetown:
Christopher "Stopher" Cooper McConnell, 37, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2020, at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Mr. McConnell was born July 22, 1982, in DeLand, FL, the son of James Kenneth McConnell, Jr. and Debra Cooper McConnell. He graduated from Georgetown High School and was a member of Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church. Mr. McConnell had a kind soul and was a joy to all, young and old. Stopher was generous with his love for family and friends.
Mr. McConnell was an avid Clemson fan and loved fishing, the river, skiing, and enjoyed the beach. His generosity was fulfilled when he became an organ donor. This was his last act of kindness. Stopher will surely be missed by all who knew him.
Surviving are: his parents, Kenny and Debbie McConnell of Georgetown; a son Braxton McConnell of Georgetown; two sisters, Kristin McConnell Andrews (Herbie) of Charleston and April Martinez of Newburgh, NY; three nephews, Waylon Andrews, Elias Martinez and Ricky Martinez; and a niece, Finley Andrews.
Memorial services will be private to family members only.
The family will receive friends Saturday, March 7, 2020, in Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, located beside the church chapel from two until three o'clock.
