Georgetown: Clarence "Buddy" Leslie Hudson, 66, husband of Lisa Pope Hudson, died Sunday morning, February 19, 2017, at his residence. Mr. Hudson was born in Stedman, N. C. on August 6, 1950, a son of the late Thurmond Dixon Hudson and Venie Mae Tillette Hudson. He grew up in Fayetteville, N. C. and graduated from Stedman High School. Mr. Hudson served in the U. S. Navy aboard the USS Ticonderoga during the Viet Nam War. He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. Mr. Hudson was a very loving, caring, and benevolent person with such a great smile and considered everyone family. Surviving are: his wife of Georgetown; a daughter, Melissa Hudson Hurd (Dennis) of Broadway, N. C.; two sons, Matthew Austin Hudson of Georgetown and Michael D. Hudson (Linda) of Myrtle Beach; a sister, Joann Downey (Rylie) of Chester, Va.; twelve grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
