Georgetown:
Clarence E. "Larry" Hook, 75, died Wednesday, November 2, 2005, at his residence.
Mr. Hook was born in West Columbia on March 13, 1930, son of the late James Walter Hook and Lillian Kannady Hook. He grew up in West Columbia and graduated from Brooklyn-Cayce High School. Mr. Hook served in the U.S. Army from 1951 until 1953. After college graduation, he was employed with the Central Intelligence Agency where he worked as an accountant for 33 years. Mr. Hook moved to Georgetown after retiring in 1985.
Mr. Hook was predeceased by: two brothers, Thomas Walter Hook and Wilbur Arthur Hook; and a sister, Louise Hook Gantt.
Surviving are: his wife, Lu Hook of Georgetown; a sister, Gladys Hook Heard of San Francisco, Ca.; a brother-in-law, Cyril E. Gantt of West Columbia; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at one o'clock, Friday afternoon, November 4, 2005, at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. Laurie McAlpine.
